Table management for restaurants in Charni Road
Updated 25 October 2026
W8R is restaurant billing and table software for Charni Road, Mumbai. It is one product for the city, used on a phone, tablet, or computer. This page is about how a restaurant around Charni Road station, Thakurdwar, and the approach to Chowpatty actually runs, and where orders, bills, and tables usually slip.
A restaurant day in Charni Road
Charni Road is local dining beside the beach approach. Regulars from Girgaon mix with people heading to Chowpatty. Thali, snacks, and small rooms sit close together. Tables are few, and Sunday evening is when they must turn.
Where the day breaks
Regulars add a dish after the first order. A fresh bill gets opened by mistake and the original items stay on the old page. On Sunday the room looks full while the book says a table is free, because nobody updated it after payment.
One fix on the floor
Keep one open bill per occupied table. Add the extra dish there. Send a new kitchen slip only for the new items. Mark the table free only after payment.
How W8R fits Charni Road
W8R shows free and busy tables and lets you add an order to the same table. The bill the guest sees is the full sitting, which is what a small Charni Road room needs on a Sunday.
The same screen prints the guest bill and the kitchen slip on the 80mm thermal printer you already have. The QR on the bill can carry the bill amount, so the guest pays the figure on the paper. You change menu prices yourself. You can see what sold for a day, a week, a month, or dates you pick. If you also sell on Swiggy or Zomato, you mark that order yourself. It does not arrive from those apps on its own.
Who it suits here
Around Charni Road station, Thakurdwar, and the approach to Chowpatty, the usual rooms are thali restaurants, local dine-in, and snack shops. If your outlet is closer to Chowpatty, read the notes for Chowpatty as well. The product is the same. The rush is not.
W8R will not correct a price you typed wrong, and it will not replace a cook. It keeps the order, the table, the slip, and the payment in one list so the close is not a memory test.
