Table management for restaurants in Byculla
Updated 25 October 2026
W8R is restaurant billing and table software for Byculla, Mumbai. It is one product for the city, used on a phone, tablet, or computer. This page is about how a restaurant around Byculla station and the residential pockets of Byculla East and West actually runs, and where orders, bills, and tables usually slip.
A restaurant day in Byculla
Byculla has family restaurants, old cafe-style rooms, and local places regulars use through the week. It is not a tourist belt. Tables fill at lunch and again at dinner with people who live nearby. Menus move slowly, but a price change still has to reach the bill.
Where the day breaks
Some regulars run a tab and pay later in the week. A scrap of paper gets lost, and dinner starts with an argument. New staff cannot tell which table is a tab and which is a fresh order.
One fix on the floor
Keep pay-later tables open and labelled until the money arrives. Do not reuse that table number for a new guest on a new bill.
How W8R fits Byculla
W8R lets you see busy tables and keep an order open until it is settled. You can mark the payment when it actually arrives, so the day report is not only the cash that hit the drawer tonight.
The same screen prints the guest bill and the kitchen slip on the 80mm thermal printer you already have. The QR on the bill can carry the bill amount, so the guest pays the figure on the paper. You change menu prices yourself. You can see what sold for a day, a week, a month, or dates you pick. If you also sell on Swiggy or Zomato, you mark that order yourself. It does not arrive from those apps on its own.
Who it suits here
Around Byculla station and the residential pockets of Byculla East and West, the usual rooms are family restaurants, cafes, and local dine-in. If your outlet is closer to Mazgaon, read the notes for Mazgaon as well. The product is the same. The rush is not.
W8R will not correct a price you typed wrong, and it will not replace a cook. It keeps the order, the table, the slip, and the payment in one list so the close is not a memory test.
