Counter billing for restaurants in Mahalaxmi
Updated 25 October 2026
W8R is restaurant billing and table software for Mahalaxmi, Mumbai. It is one product for the city, used on a phone, tablet, or computer. This page is about how a restaurant around Mahalaxmi station, the racecourse, and the Haji Ali approach actually runs, and where orders, bills, and tables usually slip.
A restaurant day in Mahalaxmi
Mahalaxmi mixes local dining with people passing toward Haji Ali and the racecourse. Weekdays are neighbourhood meals. Weekends and festival movements are a different volume. Some outlets have both a counter and a few sit-down tables.
Where the day breaks
A Tuesday notebook breaks when the same three staff face a crowd. Tokens and tables end up in one queue. A paid token gets cooked again because the open list was never checked.
One fix on the floor
On crowd days, give counter guests tokens and tables their own numbers. Check the open list once an hour so a paid token is not cooked twice.
How W8R fits Mahalaxmi
W8R can show counter orders and table orders without merging them. You print bills and kitchen slips and see which tables are still occupied after the crowd thins.
The same screen prints the guest bill and the kitchen slip on the 80mm thermal printer you already have. The QR on the bill can carry the bill amount, so the guest pays the figure on the paper. You change menu prices yourself. You can see what sold for a day, a week, a month, or dates you pick. If you also sell on Swiggy or Zomato, you mark that order yourself. It does not arrive from those apps on its own.
Who it suits here
Around Mahalaxmi station, the racecourse, and the Haji Ali approach, the usual rooms are casual restaurants, snack counters, and family dining. If your outlet is closer to Mumbai Central, read the notes for Mumbai Central as well. The product is the same. The rush is not.
W8R will not correct a price you typed wrong, and it will not replace a cook. It keeps the order, the table, the slip, and the payment in one list so the close is not a memory test.
